The Dogtra 3502X — completely independent 2-dog control, no toggling required
Most 2-dog e-collar systems use a single dial and button set that you toggle between collars: set a level for Dog 1, toggle to Dog 2, reset the level for Dog 2, toggle back when you need Dog 1 again. In an active training session with two dogs working simultaneously, that process costs time and attention you don’t have. The 3502X eliminates it entirely. Two independent Selector dials — one dedicated to each dog — sit on top of the transmitter alongside two completely separate button sets. Dog 1’s dial stays set for Dog 1. Dog 2’s dial stays set for Dog 2. When both dogs need a correction at the same time, you use both hands. There is no mode to switch, no level to reset, no delay between dogs.
The dual-dial transmitter in practice
The dimmable OLED screen displays level, mode, and battery status for both collars simultaneously — a full picture of where both dogs are set without navigating any menu. The Stimulation Level Lock prevents either dial from being bumped out of position during an active session. For trainers running two dogs at different working levels — common in hunt test preparation where a soft dog and a hard dog may be working the same field — the lock is insurance that the level you set stays where you set it until you deliberately change it. Single-button Nick/Constant operation keeps corrections fast: one press delivers a nick, hold for constant. HPP (High Performance Pager) vibration is available as a non-stimulating pager cue, and audible tone rounds out the mode set.
The transmitter has a matte finish and a slim-line profile designed for extended field carry. The receivers curve to the dog’s neck for comfort and to reduce snagging on brush and cover during hunting and field work. Eight stimulation levels run from low to high output, covering both softer-tempered dogs and more driven animals within the same system.
IPX9K waterproofing and 2-hour rapid charge
Both the transmitter and receivers carry Dogtra’s IPX9K waterproof rating — tested at close range using high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, the most rigorous waterproof standard in the e-collar category. Submersible to 25 feet. The batteries charge fully in 2 hours, which matters for professionals running back-to-back training sessions without a long charge window between them. The system is built for dogs 35 lbs. and up and is backed by a 2-year limited lifetime warranty.
3502X vs. Dogtra Edge: The 3502X ships as a complete 2-dog system with fully independent dual-dial control — this is its purpose and it does it without compromise. The Edge handles up to 4 dogs and offers an interchangeable rheostat/selector dial, but uses a single dial and toggle between dogs. If you need to handle more than 2 dogs or want dial flexibility, the Edge is the right tool. If simultaneous independent 2-dog control is what you’re buying for, the 3502X is built specifically for that.
