  1. DT Systems Super Pro Dummy Launcher Kit
    $159.99

nd-held dummy launcher for solo retriever training. Load a .22 caliber blank, swing out the arm, pull the handle. The dog gets a gun report and a mark simultaneously. Patented dual firing ports cut recoil; built-in shell extractor removes spent blanks in one step. Cast aluminum frame, adjustable flight angle. Kit includes the launcher, one Feather-Weight dummy (white or orange), earplugs, and spare o-rings...

  2. Zinger Winger II G4
    $379.99

The most popular all-around Zinger Winger for solo retriever trainers. Lighter and more compact than the Field Trialer at 13.5 lbs., it throws a duck 60 feet and a bumper 105 feet with a high, honest arc that gives your dog time to mark the fall. Sure-Shot release fires a 209 primer the instant the mark launches — no delay, no guessing, the dog marks to the gun. Heavy-duty hinges, upgraded wire harness, Rolling Release pouch bolt for a smooth launch every time. Remote-ready for Dogtra or Tri-Tronics electronics. If you only own one Zinger Winger, this is the one most trainers reach for...

  3. Zinger Winger Hunt Tester G5
    $499.99

The biggest throw in the Zinger Winger lineup — 120 feet on a duck, 180 feet on a bumper, with an arc that makes your steadiest dog work hard to hold. This is the launcher you reach for when you're training for serious hunt test or field trial marks, or when your dog has outgrown everything else. Multi-Shot Sound release fires 209, .22, or .32 blanks — the .32 is comparable to a 12-gauge shot and is the go-to for field trial-style marks. Three anchor hook settings for adjustable height and distance. Heavy-duty rubber tubing and hinges built for high-volume use. At 18 lbs. and 79 inches folded, it's the largest unit on the page — bring a truck, bring a dog that's ready for it...

  4. Zinger Winger Mini-Z G4
    $389.99

The most compact Zinger Winger in the lineup at 12 lbs. and 49 inches folded — fits along the back seat of most SUVs and cars where the larger models won't. Throws a duck 45 feet and a bumper 90 feet, making it ideal for young dogs building marking confidence at shorter distances, or trainers who need something they can carry into the field solo without breaking their back. Fires .22, .32, and 209 primer blanks. Remote-ready for Dogtra or Garmin Tri-Tronics electronics. The launcher most trainers recommend for getting started, and the one that travels easiest...

  5. Zinger Winger Field Trialer G4
    $419.99

The original Zinger Winger — the model that launched the company and has been running hunt tests and field trials for decades. At 15 lbs. and 75-foot duck throw, it sits right between the Winger II and the Hunt Tester in terms of power and size: compact enough to carry and transport easily, powerful enough to produce serious marks. Multi-Shot Sound release fires 209, .22, and .32 blanks. Multiple height and distance settings. Rolling Release pouch bolt for a smooth, consistent launch. Remote-ready for Dogtra or Tri-Tronics. This is the launcher retriever club training groups run when they need consistent, repeatable marks for 30–45 dogs in a session...

  6. Zinger Winger Uplander G4 Bird Launcher
    $324.99

    Out of stock

Built for upland flush simulation, not retriever marks. The Uplander's 4-spring system launches from a compact 8" x 16" x 16" base — low to the ground, designed to simulate a bird flushing out of cover rather than arcing high through the air. Trigger it remotely as your dog works into range and you have the most realistic sit-to-flush drill available outside of a live bird. At 8 lbs. it's the lightest unit on the page. Throws a bumper 60 feet, a duck 30 feet. 209 primer blank. Remote-ready for Dogtra or Tri-Tronics. Currently out of stock — check back or contact us...

  7. Dogtra Quail Launcher
    $129.99

A remote bird launcher sized for quail and barn pigeons. The QL vented design lets air and scent flow through the launcher body while the bird is loaded, making it easier for your dog to wind the bird before it flushes — critical for developing honest points. Patented adjustable spring tension lets you dial back the throw height for young or shy dogs and increase it as training progresses. Quiet-Release spring mechanism won't startle a dog that's not ready for the flush. Dimensions: 8.6" × 4.5" × 4.3". This is the launcher body only — requires the Dogtra RR Deluxe remote release electronics, sold separately. Up to 8 launchers can be run from a single transmitter with additional receivers...

  8. Dogtra Pheasant Launcher
    $129.99

Same design and feature set as the Dogtra Quail Launcher, built larger to properly accommodate pheasants, ducks, and grouse. Vented body for scent distribution, patented adjustable spring tension for controlled throw height, Quiet-Release for shy dogs. If you've been cramming large birds into a quail launcher, this is the right tool — one SDP customer noted it works "flawlessly" with hen pheasants where the quail launcher was too tight. Requires the Dogtra RR Deluxe remote release electronics, sold separately. Expandable to 8 launchers from one transmitter with additional receivers...

  9. DT Systems Natural Flush Small Bird Launcher System
    $419.99

A complete remote bird launcher system for quail and pigeon-sized birds — launcher, transmitter, and receiver all included. The patented Easy-Load trap door lets you load and unload birds safely after the launcher is locked down, eliminating the bird-loss risk of conventional designs. Quiet-Release springs minimize the sound of the flush for steady-to-flush work. Large scent holes maximize scent dispersion so your dog can wind the bird while it's in the box. 700-yard remote range. One transmitter can control up to 16 launchers — add BL505 add-on units for multi-launcher field setups without buying additional remotes. 9V batteries required, not included...

  10. DT Systems Natural Flush Large Bird Launcher System
    $479.99

Same complete system as the BL509 — launcher, transmitter, and receiver included — built larger for pheasant and duck-sized birds. Easy-Load trap door for safe loading after locking down, Quiet-Release springs, large scent holes, beeper on the receiver for field location at up to 400 yards. One transmitter controls up to 16 launchers — add BL705 add-on units to expand without additional remotes. If you're running a pointing breed on pheasants or introducing a retriever to ducks, this is the purpose-built system for it. 9V batteries required, not included...

  11. Garmin PRO Control 2 Remote Release System
    $299.99
    List: $349.99

Stimulation Type Continuous, Momentary, Vibration, Tone

Garmin's upgrade to the popular Pro Control platform — the transmitter that lets you run your Zinger Winger or other compatible launcher from the same remote you're already holding. The PRO Control 2 transmitter controls up to 18 receivers (with advanced functions capable of addressing 36), is backwards compatible with existing Pro Control G3 receivers, and adds the ability to control up to 3 dogs wearing Garmin Delta training collars simultaneously. One remote for launchers and collars — no juggling two handhelds at the line. 700-yard range. Compatible with Zinger Winger, Dogtra, and most other remote-ready launchers. Includes transmitter and one receiver...

  12. Dogtra RR Deluxe Remote Release - Transmitter & Receiver
    $269.99

The transmitter and receiver bundle that makes any compatible launcher go remote. Works with all Dogtra bird launchers (QL, PL) and all Zinger Winger models. The RR Deluxe is the electronics standard in serious hunt test and field trial training — reliable, simple to operate, and expandable with additional receivers if you're running multiple launchers from one transmitter. If you're buying a Dogtra launcher or a Zinger Winger winger-only model, this is the electronics package to pair it with...

Choosing the Right Launcher for How You Train

There are three fundamentally different types of launchers on this page, and they're not interchangeable. Understanding which category fits your training will save you money and get your dog to a higher level faster.

Hand-held dummy launchers — the DT Systems Super Pro is the only one here — are single-person, no-setup tools. You load a .22 blank, swing the arm out, and launch. No remote, no wiring, no second person. The dog gets a gun report and a mark. For a retriever owner who wants consistent marks at 40–100 yards without setting up a winger, this is the most practical and affordable starting point.

Remote bird launchers — the Dogtra QL, Dogtra PL, and both DT Systems Natural Flush models — are box-style launchers that hold a live bird and release it on command. These are built for pointing breeds and upland flushing scenarios. You plant the launcher in cover, the dog works in, you trigger the flush remotely. The bird goes up, the shot fires, and the dog either holds or it doesn't. The Dogtra and DT launchers differ in their electronics approach: Dogtra uses its own RR Deluxe system while the DT BL509/BL709 come with remote electronics included.

Remote wingers — all five Zinger Winger models — throw marks at distance. These are the tools for retriever training: teaching a dog to mark a fall, develop marking memory on doubles and triples, and build the distance and arc required for serious hunt test and field trial work. They throw dummies and dead birds, not live birds, and the blank fires at the moment of launch so the dog marks to the gun. They require more setup than a hand launcher and more space than a box launcher, but for developing a finished retriever there is no substitute.

Not sure which Zinger Winger model is right for you? See the full comparison — throw distances, weights, blank calibers, and best use cases — on the Zinger Winger category page.

Adding Remote Electronics to a Winger or Bird Launcher

Every Zinger Winger and Dogtra launcher on this page can be operated manually with a pull cord — no remote needed to get started. But the real value of a launcher reveals itself when you can trigger it from the line with your dog at heel, without walking out to reset between marks. That's where remote electronics come in.

All five Zinger Winger models are compatible with both the Dogtra RR Deluxe and the Garmin PRO Control 2 systems. Both can be added at checkout on any Zinger Winger product page. The Dogtra launchers (Quail and Pheasant) use the Dogtra RR Deluxe only. The DT Natural Flush BL509 and BL709 include their own remote electronics in the box — no separate purchase needed.

If you already own a compatible collar transmitter — Dogtra or Garmin — you may only need the receiver unit rather than the full electronics system. The Garmin PRO Control 2 Receiver is available separately for that purpose.

Training Alone — What's Actually Possible Without a Helper

The single biggest training limitation for most retriever and pointing dog owners is the inability to throw a mark while keeping the dog steady, or to flush a bird while working a dog on point. A remote launcher solves both problems entirely. With a winger or bird launcher and remote electronics, one person can run a complete training session — set the scenario, position the dog, fire from the line — without a bird boy, a training partner, or anyone else in the field.

For retriever trainers, this means consistent marks at real hunt test distances on your own schedule, as many repetitions as you want. For pointing dog trainers, it means honest flush scenarios in cover with controllable timing. Both are difficult to replicate any other way when training solo, and both have a direct and measurable impact on how your dog performs when it counts.
