The small unit uses vibration and sound to ensure only your dog's barking is detected. As he barks, he receives a safe but annoying "static" correction. The bark collar begins with low corrections, but if excessive barking continues the correction intensity will increase.

This collar works as advertised. Our Shih Tsu was yapping at anything and everything. We tried another collar and it had absolutely zero effect on her. Since we got the Elite the barking has stopped almost completely. She will still bark occasionally, but only once or twice and then she stops. This collar is legit!!! It worked great for one week and for some reason is no longer effective on her barking. The light is still flashing so the battery must still be good. I haven't had the collar long - a couple of weeks. It cost alot of money to only work for such a short time. Her barking is driving me and the other dogs crazy. She is a very anxious rescue dog. This was the second product i tried with Sporting Dog Pro and it was the winner. I have a miniature pinscher/ chihuahua mix that barks at every sound, person, or dog. When we leave the house we put this on her and I have noticed her barking is non-existent. I like that it is small and comfortable on her. My husband and I researched bark collars on your website and found the background information to be very influential on our decision. We were cautious, but finally decided to see if a bark collar would help our Havapoo who barked consistently when hearing other dogs, folks walking by our home, and noises in general. Our little dog had a high-pitched bark which was very annoying. She barked at both of our next-door neighbors' dogs, as well as the neighbors themselves. She barked at anyone walking down the street behind our house. She barked at anyone in front of the house or anyone who came inside. We had tried, unsuccessfully, to change her behavior. We tried a Sonic Birdhouse which emitted a high-pitched noise when she barked. She turned around and looked at it and just kept barking. (We returned it to the store.) At last we bought the PetSafe Customizable Deluxe Little Dog Bark Control. Amazingly, it worked very quickly (within 3 days) for her. I tried others but they didn't do the trick. I put these on the dogs for a couple days without turning them on, and when they would bark I would use the word 'quiet'. Then I turned it on and followed the same process, using the word quiet after their first bark. If they continued, they got a zap. Now I don't even have to turn them on.
