Barking problem? Get gentle and persuasive control over the excessive nuisance.
There's no denying it - all dogs bark. But problems begin when the barking becomes incessant, often times when family members are away from the home and unable to deal with the problem. Neighbors start complaining, and in extreme cases, the landlord or animal control intervenes - forcing pet owners to make difficult decisions.
The new BarkLimiter series helps put an end to the problem by giving dog owners control over nuisance barking. It's the world's first intuitive electronic bark correction device, designed by Garmin using proven Tri-Tronics® dog training technology. Featuring bark identification technology that uses innovative accelerometer technology, this collar is able to distinguish between barking and other vocalizations.
Also exclusive to this collar is Advanced Bark Correction Technology, which delivers consistent and instantaneous correction, while substantially reducing false corrections that can be caused by external noises. Like all Garmin products, it's simple to use, with a set-it-and-forget-it "autorise" function that automatically programs the stimulation intensity level based on the barking behavior of each individual dog. The unit is ready to go right out of the box - no additional setup!
Vibration and manual settings are also included. For dogs that spend time alone in an apartment or back yard, the Bark Odometer lets dog owners know exactly how many times their dog barked while they were away. The lightweight and compact collar features integrated stainless steel contact points and is waterproof in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
The BarkLimiter detects bark signals solely through vibrations from a dog's throat. This virtually eliminates false corrections caused by scratching or scraping of surfaces, or other noises like the barks of nearby dogs (as in a kennel situation). In addition, this collar has been designed to recognize qualitative differences in barking. It corrects for obsessive or nuisance barking and ignores "good" barking. This allows the dog to communicate injury or threat without activating the device.
Autorise Technology - Let your dog set their own level of stimulation.
So that your dog can set their own level of stimulation, the unit is automatically set for the Autorise function right out of the box. No additional set-up is needed. This gives the dog owner immediate relief from nuisance barking. When a bark is detected, Autorise starts at the lowest level of correction, and corrections gradually rise until the dog stops nuisance barking. After a prolonged period of quiet, the BarkLimiter will reset itself to two levels below the dog's maximum level reached and begin rising again if barking resumes.
Manual Setting Option
Dog owners have the choice of switching from automatic to manual settings, if so desired. A built-in Odometer helps determine the effectiveness of the manual correction level by counting the number of barks.
Vibration Only Setting Option
Dog owners can set the unit to correct barks using vibration only for an alternative to electronic stimulation.
Compact, Lightweight, Waterproof
The BarkLimiter is designed for maximum function in a minimal form. With integrated stainless steel contact points optimized to work on all dog breeds and coat thicknesses, and easy to access battery compartment all housed in a compact design. The casing is also 100% waterproof.

- It really worksBy: AARON LARKIN
You must be vocal with your dog. This device is a trainer. Use it like as if your a teenager being put in time out. Be verbal and reward the dog for listening to you. (12/5/2017)
- Garrmin Tri Tronics Bark Limiter CollarBy: Debbie Bernardo
We have been using this collar for a couple of weeks now so I am not entirely certain we have made up our mind on this product. We have had it on Automatic mode, which still allows the dog to bark and then increases in intensity. I have taken it off the automatic mode this week. What we really like about the product is the fact that we can charge it and not buy the expensive batteries which were necessary in the other models we had purchased previously. (4/12/2017)
- Love this collarBy: Katie Finkle
I have tried several bark collars. This is by far the best. I love that there are lots of different settings. I have one dog that is very sensitive so I have set his collar to "vibrate". Another dog that needs more correction so set hers to static correction level 2. Can't go wrong with this collar! (2/20/2017)
- so far so goodBy: Kazuki Hagihara
You should start vibration. If it doesn't work, you should use 1 and increase until your dog stopped barking. You should not use A (adjustable) at first, which is too strong. (7/9/2015)
- Nice upgrade for my old collarBy: Michael Brick
I use to have the Tri tronics bark limiter G3 version of this collar until it got damaged. I picked up Garmin's new version as a replacement and it has proven to be equally as effective in keeping my dog from barking all day and night. We're very pleased with it. The new autorise feature is pretty awesome too. Fast shipping. Thanks guys. (5/28/2013)
- Stopped my shepard in no timeBy: Neil Simmons
Obviously, I could not get my new German Shepard rescue to stop barking. My neighbors began complaining about the obsessive noise, which was embarrassing to deal with. I picked up this collar and she stopped barking in a week and a half! It's very simple to use and the autorise feature was great for letting her set her own stimulation level. (5/15/2013)
- Would not recharge.By: Joshua Richardson
This collar lasted about two days, before it broke completely. Sporting Dog Pro was great in helping me exchange it for the Petsafe rechargeable bark collar. Thanks, guys. (5/2/2013)
