Finding the right replacement charger for your SportDOG system
SportDOG uses two different charging adaptors across their current lineup, plus a legacy charger for older discontinued systems. The adaptors are not interchangeable — using the wrong one won’t charge your collar or transmitter. The guide below will get you to the right part in one step.

What you need to know about SportDOG charging adaptors
SportDOG’s current charging adaptors are AC wall chargers — they plug into a standard outlet and connect to the collar or transmitter via a docking cradle or direct-connect port. Both current adaptors output the same $24.95 retail price but are engineered for different voltage and connector specifications. The 425x/825x adaptor will not work on the 1825 family and vice versa.
The legacy RFA-220 replacement charger covers SportDOG’s older discontinued systems from the SD-350 through the SD-3200 series. If your system isn’t listed in the current adaptor rows above, the RFA-220 is almost certainly your part.
All three chargers on this page are genuine SportDOG replacement parts — not aftermarket. If your collar or transmitter isn’t holding a charge the way it used to, a worn or damaged charger is often the culprit before the battery itself needs replacing. Replacing the charger first is the lower-cost diagnostic step.
