Train and control your dogs.

Alpha 100 helps you train and control them to stop chasing unwanted game or "recall" to your position. Easy to access training buttons allow you to communicate separately to each dog through safe and effective features, including 18 levels of momentary and 18 levels of continuous stimulation or an audible tone command. From the training screen, correct and recall multiple dogs (with extra TT 15 devices) with the help of Tri-Tronics electronic training. Traditional stimulation allows you to make quick changes within a predetermined stimulation level (low, medium or high).Whereas linear stimulation allows progressively more stimulation through all 18 levels available.

Using the Alpha 100 handheld, you can measure each dog's speed, distance and the direction being traveled. Plus, you can receive notifications when a dog is "Treed"or "On Point." Track hunting dogs in dense cover.

As often as every 2.5 seconds, your dog's TT15X collar transmits his position to your Alpha handheld. You can see his current location and a trail of where he's been on the Map page of your handheld. Switch over to the Dog Tracker page to view a compass pointing to your dog's location as well as his current status: whether he's running, sitting, on point, or treeing. The three-axis electronic compass lets hunters accurately view their dog's position when holding the handheld at any angle. Alpha can also sound an alarm to let you know instantly when your dog goes on point. In addition to audible alerts, Garmin has also incorporated a vibration feature on the Alpha 100.

The Garmin Alpha boasts a high-sensitivity GPS receiver that can track your dog's position even in the densest cover. You can track up to twenty dogs (either your own, or your buddies') at one time with Alpha, at a distance of up to nine miles away. The system transmits information by line-of-sight, so it's range reaches farthest in flat, open terrain. From the compass screen, get in-depth speed, direction traveling and distance away information for any dogs you've selected. And correct any dog on this screen without falsely correcting the others. Extended battery protection.

When using the TT 15, hunters can switch to Rescue Mode to prolong the battery life. When the TT 15 reaches a certain battery level, it will slow down the update rate at which it pings the Alpha 100 from every 2.5 seconds to every 2 minutes. This mode should provide additional battery life to the TT15X, giving you more time to search for and locate your dog.

Count Your Coveys

After you've captured your quarry, mark the exact spot with Alpha's waypoint marker, a user selected position that tells you the exact location, time of day and elevation where you found your prey, as well as the number of birds you flushed and took from that location. The Garmin Alpha lets you save other special waypoints, such as "Truck" and "Lodge," so you can save the location of these places quickly and easily for each hunt. Alpha also offers special waypoint icons to represent food plots, tree stands and other hunting-related points.

Rugged and durable TT-15 collar design.

The TT-15 GPS Track and Train Dog Device is a high-sensitivity GPS tracker that uses 18 levels of momentary or continuous stimulation plus LED beacons and audible tones activated from the Alpha. Rugged and waterproof to 10 m (33 ft), the TT 15 uses a braided steel VHF antenna to send its position data to the Alpha 100 (not compatible with Astro®). TT 15 units, when sold separately, ship with a black collar strap. Replacement straps are available in multiple colors (sold separately).

The TT15X collar fits dogs neck sizes from 12" to 22.5". For smaller dogs, a smaller 1" collar can be purchased separately which can hold the electronic components.

Garmin's unprecedented ability to upload detailed maps to the handheld unit is what makes this device so amazing. Track and train your dogs based on where they are with BirdsEye Satellite Imagery. These highly-detailed raster maps provide a realistic bird's eye view of roads, parking areas, buildings, and terrain, including tree lines, lakes, rivers and streams. This subscription based service is a great way to supplement the comprehensive topographic maps on your Alpha.

Alpha 100 handheld enhancements.

The Alpha 100 improves user interface with a simpler menu structure and sophisticated graphics thanks to its vibrant, sunlight-readable 2.6" touchscreen color display. Both durable and waterproof, Alpha 100 is built to withstand the elements. It features the legendary toughness built for the rigors of the outdoors - be it dust, dirt, humidity or water, none of which are a match for this essential hunting companion. The 100 features a built-in worldwide basemap with shaded relief, plus included and free US 100k Topographical maps. Additionally, there is support for enhanced mapping such as BirdsEye satellite imagery, regional Topo maps, and Garmin custom maps. Hunters know, for example, if their dog has crossed a creek or is nearing a dangerous road. Garmin's free BaseCamp software allows hunters and trainers to download, view and save their dog's tracks to a computer for viewing later - a great tool for evaluating performance.

A refined user interface streamlines what is displayed on screen by allowing dogs that are outside the current zoom level to have their location notated in the displays margin. The user can also choose the amount of each dog's track log displayed, or toggle it off completely to avoid cluttering the map. This rugged handheld also has a built-in vibration motor to support silent alerts in addition to audible tones, a 3-axisdigital compass (allowing the hunter to hold the handheld at any angle), new and improved reception range, a fully rubberized outer coating with an over molding for a better grip, a new keyboard design, and on board memory for storing additional mapping (4 Gigs). The orange trim color is great for hunters and especially helpful for visibility if the handheld is dropped or misplaced.

Now offering two new included antenna options, the extended range antenna can increase the tracking range by up to 30%. Thanks to the TT15X's redesigned antenna, the maximum range between the Alpha 100 and TT15X can achieve up to nine miles in flat, unobstructed terrain. Dog handlers can wirelessly transfer waypoints, tracks, and even their dog's tracking settings to other Alpha 100 users.

See all of your dogs at once.

Track up to 20 dogs at once by adding additional TT-15X GPS tracking/training collars to the Alpha system. It's a breeze to setup, and you'll quickly be able to see what all of your dogs, or your friends' dogs, are doing and collect data for each of them. From a couple of dogs to a lot, the Alpha has you covered.
