The Mini-Z is the most compact launcher Zinger Winger makes. At 12 lbs. and 49 inches folded, it fits along the back seat of a compact car or SUV where the larger models won't go, and carries into the field easily in one hand. One SDP customer who owns three of them called it "lightweight, easy to transport and setup, and consistent throws." Another noted it was ready to use right out of the box with no setup issues. For trainers working without a dedicated dog truck, or anyone who values the ability to carry multiple launchers into the field solo, the Mini-Z is the model that makes it practical.
Don't let the compact size mislead you on capability. The Mini-Z throws a duck 45 feet, Dokkens 60 feet, and bumpers 90 feet with the same high arc the larger Zinger models are known for. For a young dog building marking skills at shorter distances, or for any training scenario where you don't need the range of the Field Trialer G4 or Winger II G4, the Mini-Z delivers. The rubber tubing is a wear item on all Zinger wingers — it degrades with heat and heavy use, but is straightforward to replace when it does.
The Mini-Z features heavy-duty hinges, an upgraded wire harness, and the Multi-Shot Sound™ release mechanism firing .22, .32, and 209 primer blanks — the full blank caliber selection despite the smaller frame. Rolling Release™ pouch bolt comes standard. Multiple settings for height and distance adjustment. Adhesive Velcro mounting for the electronics receiver is included. The Mini-Z launches ducks, pheasants, pigeons, Dokkens, bumpers, and live flyers. An optional carrying case is available.
