Rechargeable bark collar with patented dual-sensor detection and three training modes
The SportDOG NoBark SBC-R uses patented Silent Partner™ technology to identify your dog’s individual bark and deliver a correction only when he barks. The system uses two sensors simultaneously — sound and vocal cord vibration — and requires both to be present before firing. External noise, another dog barking, a door slamming — none of these trigger a correction. This makes the SBC-R reliable in single-dog homes and in kennel settings where multiple dogs are wearing collars at the same time.
The collar offers 10 levels of static stimulation and three training modes, giving you precise control over how the collar responds to your dog’s temperament. An OLED display shows the current mode and battery status at a glance. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery charges in 2 hours and lasts approximately 200 hours per charge. Both standard (1/2”) and long (5/8”) contact points are included — the long points are for dogs with thick or heavy coats. For dogs 8 lbs. and up with neck sizes 5” to 22”. Waterproof and submersible to 10 feet.
A built-in safety feature monitors barking frequency. If your dog barks 15 or more times within an 80-second period, the collar stops issuing corrections for 30 seconds and then resumes normal operation. This timeout is active in all three modes.
Training modes
Temperament Learning Mode: Correction starts at level 1 and increases each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. The collar remembers the level that stopped the barking and starts at that level the next time your dog barks. The stimulation level reduces 30 seconds after barking stops.
Progressive Correction Mode: Correction starts at level 1 and increases each time your dog barks within 30 seconds. If your dog is quiet for 30 seconds, the collar resets to level 1. No memory is carried between sessions.
User-Selected Mode: You set a fixed correction level manually. The collar delivers that level every time your dog barks, regardless of how many times he barks. Use this for dogs that bark through the lower progressive levels, or for sensitive dogs where you want to cap the correction at a specific level.
Putting it to work
The collar must make direct skin contact to detect vocal cord vibration. On dogs with thick or long coats, switch to the included long contact points if the standard points are not reaching the skin reliably. Fit should be snug — two fingers under the strap — but not tight. Do not attach a leash to any part of this collar. Do not use alongside another collar with metal tags or metal hardware, as metal contact can cause false corrections. Maximum wear time is 12 hours per day. Check the contact area daily for any skin irritation.
When starting with the collar, stay close to your dog for the first few sessions. Some dogs bark more immediately after the first correction — this is a normal response to a new sensation and resolves quickly. In rare cases a dog will cycle through repeated barking and corrections during the first session. If this happens, remove the collar and try again the following day. Most dogs make the connection between barking and the correction within the first one to two days.
The SBC-R is designed to be used as a training tool, not worn indefinitely. Most owners find that after a few weeks of consistent use, the collar can be phased out entirely or worn only in specific situations where the dog needs a reminder. Wash the contact area and the contact points weekly with a damp cloth. If you need to store the collar for an extended period, charge it once a month to maintain battery health.
Waterproof. The SBC-R is submersible to 10 feet. It can be worn in the rain, through standing water, and by dogs that swim regularly. The collar does not need to be removed before bathing or hosing down — though removing it for extended soaking is good practice. Dry the contact point area before putting the collar back on.
