One transmitter controls both the e-collar and the beeper — you can adjust stimulation, change beeper mode, and hit locate without switching devices. The beeper uses a motion sensor to distinguish a running dog from a dog on point, and nine selectable tones let you match the sound to your hunting country. Audible to 500 yards, expandable to three dogs, submersible to 25 feet.

E-collar and beeper in one system — 1-mile range, audible up to 500 yards

The UplandHunter® 1875 is built for one specific situation: running pointing dogs in cover where GPS tracking is overkill but you still need to know where the dog is and have a way to correct it at distance. The system combines a full-featured e-collar with a remote-controlled beeper in a single unit. One transmitter controls both. You can adjust stimulation level, change beeper modes, switch between dogs, and hit the locate button — all from the same handheld, without switching devices or taking your hands off the gun.

The beeper is the piece that makes this system distinct. It mounts at the collar and uses a motion sensor to distinguish between a running dog and a dog on point: it beeps every 5 or 10 seconds when the dog is moving and tightens to every second when the dog stops. In thick cover, that rhythm change tells you the dog is on birds before you can see it. The locate feature lets you key a beep on demand at any time regardless of mode — useful for hunting wild birds in silence while still being able to find the dog when you need to. Nine selectable tones let you identify dogs by sound and pick the frequency that carries best in your hunting country. The hawk scream that a customer review mentions is one of the nine; in open pheasant country it’s distinctly audible and flies birds better than a beep.

The transmitter and training collar

The remote transmitter controls the beeper and the collar receiver independently. The situation-programmable layout lets you assign the buttons to match how you hunt — beeper run mode on one side, stimulation on the other, locate always accessible. Seven levels of continuous and momentary stimulation cover the range from a light reminder to a firm correction, with vibration and tone available alongside static. The collar receiver fits dogs 8 lbs. and up with neck sizes 5”–22”, putting it in range for smaller pointing breeds like Brittanys up through large setters and pointers. The transmitter, collar receiver, and beeper are all finished in SportDOG’s UplandBlaze® orange, keeping all three pieces visible in the field.

The system is expandable to 3 dogs with SDR-AB Add-A-Dog® Receiver/Remote Beeper collars — each additional dog gets both a collar receiver and a beeper, maintaining the same remote-beeper functionality across the string. The color-coded toggle switch on the transmitter handles dog selection. If you want a standalone accessory beeper without the e-collar receiver, the UplandHunter® Accessory Beeper adds beeper-only capability to an existing 1875 setup.

DryTek® waterproofing and battery life

The transmitter, collar receiver, and beeper all use SportDOG’s DryTek® technology — waterproof and submersible to 25 feet. All three carry their own rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and all three charge in 2 hours. The transmitter and collar receiver run 40–60 hours per charge; the beeper runs longer at 60–80 hours, since it draws less power than the receiver. Low battery indicators on all three units tell you when to recharge. Batteries are user-replaceable and designed to last 3–5 years before needing replacement.

Fitting the collar: The 1875 is designed for dogs 8 lbs. and up with a neck size between 5” and 22”. Do not attach a leash directly to the UplandHunter collar receiver — use a separate non-metallic collar for leash attachment and make sure it doesn’t interfere with the contact points. Rinse the collar receiver with fresh water after each hunt.

    Excellent product
I have used this hard since receiving it and works as advertised. It really is easy to set up once you get used to the buttons. Love the hawk scream. Gets those pheasants flying instead of running.

    luv it
My IQ is up by 30 points, and I am ready to go to medical school :) I am only nine months old with lots of energy. My muster tried on himself first to understand level of stimulation. I am happy with level 2, but I do prefer when my muster whistle first.
