Long-length contact probes for SportDOG collar receivers — for thick and heavy-coated dogs

The long-length contact probes are 5/8” (1.6cm) — longer than the standard probes — designed specifically for dogs whose coat is thick or heavy enough that standard-length probes don’t consistently reach the skin. If your collar seems to be working inconsistently on a heavy-coated breed like a Labrador, Golden Retriever, or any double-coated dog, switching to long probes is often the fix before assuming there’s a deeper issue with the collar or transmitter.

Compatible with SR and FR series SportDOG Brand collar receivers. Kit includes two long-length probes and an O-ring seal. Genuine SportDOG replacement part.

Short-haired or medium-coat dog? Standard probes will work fine — see the Standard Length Probe Kit instead. Long probes on a short-haired dog can cause discomfort from excessive contact pressure.
