Cold-weather coverage for late-season hunting dogs
The Canine Field Jacket is built for the conditions that come at the end of the season — cold mornings, wet cover, extended time in the field when temperatures have dropped and a dog’s core starts to work harder to stay warm. The outer shell is 1000-denier Cordura® nylon, water-resistant and tough enough to handle brush without tearing. Inside, 100-gram Thinsulate® insulation adds warmth without bulk — Thinsulate is designed to insulate even when wet, which matters on a dog that’s pushing through frost-covered grass or making water retrieves in cold conditions. The Ripstop® inner liner adds durability and comfort against the dog’s coat.
Blaze orange with reflective trim keeps the dog visible in the field. Quick-release buckles and adjustable straps make it easy to put on and take off at the tailgate. The jacket covers the back and sides without restricting the chest and shoulder movement a working dog needs to run and retrieve effectively.
Availability note: Mendota has discontinued the Canine Field Jacket. X-Large is the only size remaining. If you have a large-breed dog who needs late-season coverage, this is your window — call us at 1 (800) 524-2428 if you have questions about fit before ordering.
