High-powered bark collar with accelerometer detection for medium to large dogs
The Dogtra YS-600 uses the same electronics platform found in Dogtra’s remote training collars, adapted for bark control. Detection is handled by an accelerometer bark sensor that reads throat vibration rather than sound — so ambient noise, other dogs barking nearby, and environmental disturbances do not trigger the collar. The YS-600 is built for medium to large dogs 35 lbs. and up, and delivers low to high output across 10 stimulation levels, making it suitable for dogs with a range of temperaments including stubborn or high-drive breeds that don’t respond to lower-powered collars.
The High Performance Pager delivers a stronger vibration than the standard pager found on most bark collars. On large dogs with thick coats, standard vibration modes are often too subtle to register. The HPP is strong enough to be felt reliably on bigger dogs, which makes the vibration-only mode a practical first option rather than a fallback. Start there and move to static only if needed.
What the Persistent Bark Indicator tells you
Each time the YS-600 is powered off, the Persistent Bark Indicator activates if the dog has been barking excessively while wearing the collar. For owners whose dog is alone during the day, this gives a direct read on what actually happened while you were away — and whether the correction level is working. If the indicator fires consistently, the collar is detecting barking but the current level may not be sufficient. If it’s clear, the collar is doing its job. It takes the guesswork out of evaluating whether your settings are right.
Contact point fit. The YS-600 includes plastic-shielded 5/8” Enhanced Contact Points. On thick-coated breeds, confirm the points are making solid skin contact before each session. If the collar is detecting but not correcting consistently, check fit first — most issues trace back to contact points resting on fur rather than skin. My dog loved to bark at people when they walked by our fence. He is a big dog, a big chicken, but the people don't know that and many were frighted of him. After a few times, it started working. I bought this as a gift for my brother for Christmas. He has two dogs, one of which loves to bark (dog is ~110 lbs). The poor thing has to be locked up in the garage during the days because of her barking. I bought this to fix the barking problem, and hopefully give the dog a better life. I have never been more happy with a bark collar. My brother has bought several that were more expensive, but this one is AMAZING! We put it on her with a level setting of two. She barked 3 times in a 20 minute timespan (she would have normally barked 100 times). I decided to turn it up to 4, and I have not heard her bark since. We’ve only had the collar for a couple weeks but it seems to be getting the job done so far; even our stubborn pup is learning to curb his bark. We have a dog that only barks when we are not home and she can be quite intimidating when she is barking. She is excellent otherwise, but the barking is just 3-4 feet from our neighbors house. This collar transforms her into a quiet dog. It helps us and our dog be better neighborhood citizens. Thank you! I went through so many cheapo amazon collars with multiple glowing reviews but then realized that none of those collars work (had one that would vibrate 5-10 minutes after she barked, another that just zapped randomly). So I decided to spend some money and get a collar that won't zap or vibrate her for jumping or running (and not at random). This collar only does its work when she barks which is super helpful. I have a one year old English setter and he likes to bark. I needed to get something that would effectively work, because I didn't want him to become a nuisance in the neighborhood. I bought this barking collar and thought it would take him a little while to get used to it, but after the first time of him barking with the collar on he stopped! I have 2 pit bulls that love to fence fight. My neighbors do not love it. As with all pits, they are stubborn. I have tried the citronella collars that worked for maybe a minute. these collars are wonderful/amazing. My dogs can go outside when i am not home and will get their well needed exercise.
