Dogtra’s smallest rechargeable bark collar — sound-activated, low to medium output, for dogs 10 lbs. and up
The Dogtra YS-300 is the most compact rechargeable bark collar in the Dogtra lineup. It uses a sound recognition microprocessor to differentiate your dog’s bark from the ambient environment — other dogs barking, household noise, or outdoor sounds. The collar only responds to your dog’s bark. Built for small to medium sensitive breeds, it delivers low to medium stimulation across 6 levels, with a pager vibration mode that fires before any static correction is delivered.
Every correction on the YS-300 starts with a vibration. If your dog stops barking in response to the vibration, no static is delivered. Only if barking continues does the collar escalate to the selected stimulation level. For sensitive dogs or owners who want to start conservatively, this makes the YS-300 a natural first step before considering higher-output collars. The receiver is fully waterproof, weighs 2.1 oz., and the lithium polymer battery charges in 2 hours. Surgical stainless steel contact points and an antimicrobial collar strap are standard.
YS-300 vs. YS-600 — which one is right
The YS-300 and YS-600 are Dogtra’s two Yapper Stopper models and they serve different dogs. The YS-300 uses sound detection and delivers low to medium correction — it is calibrated for smaller, more sensitive dogs starting at 10 lbs. The YS-600 uses an accelerometer (throat vibration detection), delivers higher output across 10 levels, and is designed for medium to large dogs 35 lbs. and up who need more persuasion. If your dog is small or mild-tempered, the YS-300 is the right choice. If your dog is large, thick-coated, or has a stubborn temperament, the YS-600 will be more effective.
Test mode. Before putting the YS-300 on your dog for the first time, turn the dial to “T” to verify the collar is functioning. Scratch the test area with a pen or coin — the collar should vibrate three times to confirm it is working correctly. If it does not respond, check that the battery is charged before troubleshooting further.

This collar is awesome! I tried one of those ultrasonic sound bark collars first. It was cheaply made and not only didnt it stop my dog’s barking, it made it worse! This collar is very well constructed, and it works! It’s zapped her twice on the lowest setting and bazinga! No more barking! I would highly recommend this collar (4/24/2018)- Great productBy:Brian Birch
Works really well at bark control. The dogs learn quickly to control their barking. (3/22/2018)- It works!By:Royce Coburn
Using on 2 dogs and it is doing the job! Is it worth the money? Yes! (12/22/2017)- Happy with purchaseBy:Dawn Wolf
This collar works great, easy to understand, and I am glad I ordered it. My lil girl will start barking and when she continues, the collar gets her attention. If it is turned up too high, she will bark and then whine; but, at least I know it is working. I then turn it down to a lower number. My intention is simply to stop the barking not hurt my dog. This collar gives you the opportunity to practice on the level of stimulation. I definitely would recommend this collar for small dogs. (3/17/2016)- It seems to be keeping her from barkingBy:Jessica Schaeffer
It works pretty well. I haven't had a lot of practice with it yet. She screams when she gets shocked and I feel bad but she has never barked again in the three situations I have used it (guests in house, when my husband comes home, and in the back yard).
Need more practice to see if I can reach my goal of only needing the vibration mode to correct her barking. (2/19/2015)
