E-collar and beeper in a single-body receiver — built for big-running pointing dogs
The 2700T&B is Dogtra’s answer to upland hunters who want e-collar control and beeper locate capability without managing two separate units on the dog. The beeper horn is built directly into the receiver in a downward-facing orientation — not bolted on as an add-on, not a separate module strapped alongside the collar. One unit on the dog’s neck handles training stimulation, vibration, tone, and all three beeper modes. The single-body design keeps the profile low and reduces the risk of the collar catching on fences, brush, or tight cover that a bulkier two-piece setup would snag on.
The accelerometer and beeper modes
The beeper system uses an accelerometer sensor to distinguish between a moving dog and a stopped dog — the same technology that drives the accuracy of the mode selection. In Run & Point mode, the beeper sounds on a cadence when the dog is moving and shifts to a faster signal when the dog stops on point. Point Only mode holds the beeper silent while the dog is running and sounds only when the dog locks up. Locate is manual — key it from the transmitter whenever you need a fix on position regardless of what mode the collar is in. Three beeper modes and a 1-mile range give you the information you need to hunt a big-running setter or pointer in open country without having to watch the dog every moment.
The adjustable volume control lets you set the beeper output to match the conditions — dial it back in quiet cover where a full-volume beep would flush birds, or open it up in heavy wind when you need every yard of audible range you can get. The 2702T&B is the factory 2-dog version of the same system; if you’re running two dogs and want both on beeper, see the Dogtra 2702 Train & Beeper 2-Dog Combo.
127 levels, HPP vibration, and IPX9K waterproofing
Training capability runs Dogtra’s full 127-level rheostat dial — the same smooth, continuous adjustment found on their professional collars. Dial in the precise working level without clicking through discrete steps. Nick and Constant stimulation are both available alongside HPP (High Performance Pager) vibration as a non-stimulating option. An audible tone rounds out the mode set. The LCD screen on the transmitter displays current level and mode clearly. Enhanced contact points improve skin contact consistency, particularly on thick-coated pointing breeds that often make contact point fit difficult.
Both transmitter and receiver carry Dogtra’s IPX9K waterproof rating — tested at high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, the most rigorous standard in the category. The 2-hour rapid charge batteries are lithium polymer. A hard-sided carrying case is included. The system is recommended for dogs 35 lbs. and up.
2700T&B vs. 2702T&B: The 2700T&B is the 1-dog system. The 2702T&B runs the same platform with a 2-dog transmitter for hunters running a brace. Both use the same single-body receiver/beeper design and the same 1-mile range. If you want independent dual-dial 2-dog control, the T&B Dual is the step up from the 2702.
